Sahara has an eye before it ends its dominion at the Atlantic Ocean. It has been getting attention on every space missions of man. As it can be seen from the outer space from the sandy dunes of Sahara desert. It is also known as “The Eye of Africa” for its circular shape that covers a diameter of 50 kilometers with outer rings of land formation. However, it was named as the “Richat Structure”, a structure within the dominion of Richat.
It had been caused initially by a meteorite yet as scientists made a study in the area it had been known that it had been caused by the collision or movement of land masses beneath the structure. However, their rings became visible due to the erosion that takes place in the area. It had been also renowned as the planet's bull's-eye for it became as a reference point for cosmonauts and astronauts in the outer space.
It had been the result of anticline, a fold that makes the up the uprise movement of rocks, and a syncline which is the depression of rock formation as oppose to the anticline. The formation situates in the sandy desert of Sahara, almost in the land of Mauritania in Africa.
